Holiday Music

I’ve set my favorite holiday tunes in a variety of ways over the years, creating full orchestral charts, a cappella gems, and all sorts of combinations in between. There’s something here for every program. If you don’t see what you need and have a particular vocal or instrumental combination in mind, email me. Nearly anything can be created!

We love performing Ryan’s arrangements for chorus and orchestra and have particularly enjoyed his settings of Still, Still, Still / Silent Night and I Saw Three Ships. His treatment of the vocal lines is so fluid, singable, and exciting, making the rehearsal process enjoyable and musically satisfying. Combining these with the orchestra also validates the quality of his writing, allowing for a seamless transition into creating stunning musical moments immediately with the combined ensembles. We can’t wait to do more!

Ryan Brandau’s captivating holiday arrangements are in a class by themselves. They engender joy and beauty with their unique orchestrations and beautiful choral word painting. I’ve had the pleasure of playing these inventive arrangements for years and they are unfailingly gratifying.

Your beautiful arrangement was the hit of the concert. The audience loved it. The singers and orchestra loved it. The you for the care and craft of this set. It will become part of the Cincinnati tradition.
— Joe Miller, Director of Choral Activities, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
Each year, I look forward to performing holiday arrangements by Ryan Brandau. They are beautifully composed and feature lush harmonizations that add new depth to familiar melodies. The parts are idiomatic for each instrument and are a pleasure to play. I highly recommend these arrangements: They’re a joy for performers and audiences alike.
— Karen, English horn, NE Pennsylvania Philharmonic
We all loved performing your carols and our audience was just as thrilled. The applause at the end of “Wassail” was beyond our expectations!
